About
Hi there 👋🏻
I’m Ankit Das, a software engineer at Deloitte USI with a passion for building reliable cloud solutions and exploring the latest in open-source technology. I specialize in API development, data integration, and automation—always striving to deliver practical, scalable results. Beyond work, I enjoy learning by experimentation and making technology accessible and meaningful.
🧑‍💻 What I do
I architect and deliver application-integration and data-integration solutions, primarily using Informatica Cloud (IICS). I build and operate APIs, design taskflows and parameterized mappings, automate workflows, and optimise pipelines for reliability and maintainability. My work aims to reduce operational friction and deliver measurable business value.
đź’Ľ Tools and tech I work with regularly
- Docker, Linux (Ubuntu)
- Informatica Cloud (CAI, DI, API Manager, Integration Hub)
- JSON, XML, XSLT for data transformation and validation
- PowerShell and automation scripts
- Working knowledge of SQL (actively improving)
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
🧠Interests
- Building small, self-hosted services to learn about reliability and operations
- Designing quiet, usable interfaces and writing maintainable code
- Exploring the intersection of technology and human behaviour to build better products
- Prototyping IoT solutions using MQTT and Node-RED
🔌 Side projects
- Homelab experiments: networking, container orchestration, and service hardening
- Automation and lightweight ML experiments to reduce manual toil
- Microcontroller projects with esp32, esp8266, 3D printing, and Raspberry Pi deployments
- n8n automations for prototyping integrations and workflows
🌟 Highlights
- Designed and optimized enterprise data-integration solutions with Informatica IICS, improving throughput and reducing failure rates.
- Implemented monitoring and incident-triage practices using CAI Console logs, lowering mean time to recovery for production issues.
- Recognized with Deloitte Fresh Fry and Applause awards for client delivery and technical contributions.
- Built CI/CD pipelines and led the Photo Flare project (Cloudflare Workers & Pages, Angular, KV/R2) to serve a static image gallery with improved performance.
🌿 Outside work
I enjoy hands-on projects that sharpen practical skills—homelab experiments, hardware prototyping, and small automation tools. I’m also passionate about reading technical blogs, discovering new music, and playing video games. When it’s time to unwind, I love watching movies and shows—Dexter being a personal favorite.
